We are looking for an Account Officer who manages financial transactions, accounts receivable and payable, and ensures accurate financial records within an organization. Their responsibilities typically include reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and monitoring budgets to ensure financial health.
Roles and responsibilities
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
Processing invoices from suppliers and vendors, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.
Generating customer invoices, ensuring timely billing, and following up on overdue payments.
Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and accounting records.
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and monitoring expenditure against budgeted amounts.
Assisting in the preparation for audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Conducting financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Processing payroll accurately and on time, including deductions, taxes, and benefits administration.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is usually required.
At least 2 years of experience in the related field but freshers may apply.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Prior experience in accounting, financial management, or a related field is often required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across departments.
